No. The monthly installment amount is fixed at the time of account opening and cannot be changed during the tenure. If your financial situation changes significantly, speak to your branch — in some cases a revised arrangement may be possible.

A penalty is charged for missed monthly installments as per our current service charge schedule. Repeated non-payment may result in premature closure of the RD account. To avoid missed installments, we strongly recommend setting up an auto-debit from your linked Savings Account.

Yes. Premature closure of a Recurring Deposit is permitted, subject to a penalty on the applicable interest rate. The penalty amount is communicated at the time of account opening. In cases of genuine financial hardship, speak to your branch before opting for premature closure — there may be alternatives.

Yes. You can open multiple Recurring Deposit accounts simultaneously — each with a different monthly amount, tenure, or goal. Many members maintain separate RDs for different financial goals — one for a vehicle, one for a home renovation, one for a child's education.

TDS is applicable on RD interest if the total interest earned across all deposits in a financial year exceeds ₹40,000 (₹50,000 for senior citizens). Submit Form 15G or Form 15H at your branch at the beginning of each financial year to avoid TDS deduction if your total income is below the taxable limit.

Loans against Recurring Deposits are available in select cases and are subject to the bank's prevailing terms. Contact your home branch for specific details on eligibility and the loan amount available against your RD balance.
