Yes. An expired dividend warrant does not mean you have lost the amount. The unpaid dividend has been transferred to the bank's Unpaid Dividend Account and remains claimable. Submit the original expired warrant along with a completed Unpaid Dividend Claim Form and your identity proof at your home branch. The amount will be revalidated and credited to your bank account.

Visit your home branch with a completed Member Detail Update Form, your identity proof, new address proof if your address has changed, and a cancelled cheque or passbook copy showing your new bank account number and IFSC code. Once your details are updated, submit your dividend claim in the same visit. Both forms are available at the branch and for download on this page.

Yes. If you have unclaimed dividends across multiple financial years, you can submit a single claim for all outstanding amounts at one time. Confirm the years for which dividends are unpaid with your branch, submit one claim form covering all years, and provide the required documents once. The total amount will be credited in a single payment after verification.

If your father registered a nomination with the bank, the nominee can claim the unpaid dividends by submitting the documents listed in Section C of the documents checklist above. If no nomination was registered, the legal heir must submit a Legal Heirship Certificate and, for amounts above ₹[X], a Succession Certificate — along with the documents in Section D. Visit your nearest branch for guidance specific to your situation — the staff will walk you through the process step by step.

Bank is registered under the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act, 1960 — not the Companies Act. The IEPF framework does not apply to cooperative banks. Unclaimed dividends at Hindusthan are governed by the bank's bye-laws and the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act. Claims must be made directly with the bank — not through the IEPF portal.

Yes — Hindusthan makes every reasonable effort to notify members with unpaid dividends through the registered contact details on record. However, if your mobile number, email address, or postal address is outdated, notifications may not reach you. This is why it is important to keep your contact details updated with the bank at all times. If you suspect you may have unclaimed dividends — particularly if you have been inactive or have changed contact details in recent years — proactively check your status using the methods in Section 3.

No. There is no fee or charge for claiming an unpaid dividend at Hindusthan Co-op. Bank. The full unpaid dividend amount is credited to your account — no deduction is made for processing. The only cost to the claimant may be the stamp duty on an indemnity bond or affidavit if required for nominee or legal heir claims — which is a statutory requirement, not a bank charge.
